The Clinical Study on IgA Nephropathy






Abstract
From a series of 107 renal biopsy specimens examined by immunofluorescence microscopy, w e found 21 cases of IgA nephropathy of which the clinical features, laboratory findings and pathological findings were reviewed in detail and the following results were obtained;
1) IgA nephropathy was 19.6% of total renal biopsied cases and the positive rate of hepatitis B viral markers was 38.1%.
2) There was no sexual predisposition and the peak incidence. of age was distributed from the 3rd. decade to the 4th. decade.
3) There were no significant differences in the clinical, biochemical, immunological and pathological findings between the HBV markers-positive and-negative group.
4) The degree of IgA deposition in glomeruli had no significant relation with the urine protein and prostaglandin E2,
